Just in time... but for me it means doing chapter 3 of the thesis, preparing the last weeks of classes in the semester, and exercising. I think I'll find some spare time to draw a bit, something small and not to flashy I guess.

My thesis tutor told me she likes my thesis so far, and in my other subject the team is working wonderfully. Now time to go for some groceries and then in the afternoon finish grading projects.

It's just one week, but I'll try to use it as much as I can. Monday is the day I'll start with chapter 3... just 15 pages, but lots of appendixes...

I've completed two chapters of the thesis.... this week. First corrections to chapter one and then getting the 40 + pages of chapter 2. It has been a week of team assignment, class prep, thesis and trying to get some time off to draw digitally (something that hasn't happened yet).

The good news: my eyes and retinas are fine. I need to be checked every 6 months for the rest of my life, so I have to be careful with computer exposure. That's why I do not draw digitally that much (and I'm barely starting with this techique, so I need more time to get used to it and transfer my tradtional drawing abilities).

The second good news: this computer accepted the graphic tablet I have, so it will be easy to start drawing soon. I hope the new computer I'm planning to get in around a month is as receiving as this one.

Time to rest now and see if I can finish a traditional drawing and a tutorial.... there are no classes (no work as teacher) tomorrow.. God bless long weekends and give us more!!

It's almost midterm: 8 weeks are about to be fulfilled. I'll submit the first chapter of my thesis tomorrow. I hope it turns out right and that the corrections are minimal. Meanwhile I'll have to read and start the second chapter: Theorical frame of the investigation. It's quite a lot of work!

I'm not sure how or when I'll start drawing again. I feel a bit overwhelmed with the situations that came up this week: a new coordinator at my language department (school). I feel he doesn't like me too much. That might result in not keeping my job for more than this year. It could also mean that by January 2013 I'll be unemployed. I hope it is not before that (August 2012). I am two semesters away of finishing my masters and I don't want to be fired.

I am a hardworking person, never absent or late unless there is an emergency. I have a good relationship with the students and they consider me a good instructor. I hope everything turns out well and that I continue to work there for at least the end of this year.

That's why this post is called midterm crisis. Too much going on: job changes, homework assignment stress in my two subjects (the ones I take for my masters), too much grading and marking from my three groups. I haven't had a weekend off since January 9th.

Now, I need to go and continue reading and working. It's a long weekend of assignments.

I have to complete the first chapter of my thesis for Feb, 26th. That's a lot of reading and writing to do in less than a month. I think my drawings during the month will be more sketches than anything, and quite small sizes.

I'm happy with my thesis topic virtual leisure strategies for adults in PBL. Not much investigated in the area, so it is quite an innovation in the field.

Maybe tomorrow I'll add two small sizec drawings done in January.
